Learn some basic leather working skills. Participants will get to stitch their own wallet or card holder with unique prints.

Join us at the grand opening of a Charro and Escaramuza attire exhibition for a presentation learn about the history and relevance of the Charrería tradition, witness a rope trick demonstration and related cultural activities.

Join us on a Scavenger Hunt to Mingus Park where we'll collect bits of nature and return to the library to make collages. Collages will be placed on display in the young adult section of the library with the permission of the artist.

Join us on a historic walking tour of the downtown Coos Bay area, with a focus on historic buildings.

Join Miss Donna from Washed Ashore for a story and craft.  Learn about ocean pollution and the things we can do to clean it up and keep it a safe home for ocean animals.

Bring a craft project you are working on and enjoy a couple of hours of socializing while you work. If you don't have a project, coloring pages will be available. This program is for ages 14+.

Calling all crafty teens and adults! Have an appetite to get creative? Pick up a free monthly Craft Takeout kit in the library on the 3rd Saturday of each month.

Express your voice and creativity in this zine workshop and learn about the impact of creating zines for empowerment and the interrogation of social issues.

Learn the basics of how to run a sewing machine, and then complete a small project for hands-on learning! Sewing machines will be provided.

Ages 8-14
It's never too early to talk about saving money!  Paint your own ceramic bank to take home and pick up a free activity book with tips on how to save.  Preregistration required. 

We will be hosting a free painting event.

Canvases, Paints, and brushes will be provided.

Practice your still life painting techniques.

Please make sure to wear appropriate clothing as you might get paint on them.

Stories on the Spectrum is a sensory-friendly monthly gathering where neurodiverse adults and support staff are invited to hang out, enjoy snacks, and do an activity.  

We will be painting miniatures.

Feel free to join us with your own miniatures,or use some of the miniatures that we have provided.
