Coos Bay Shakespeare in the Park and the Coos Bay Public Library offers WORDS, WORDS, WORDS: Speaking Shakespeare’s Speech.

Presenting a director’s symposium on the effect and communication of Shakespeare’s language, as well as a special look behind the scenes at TWELFTH NIGHT, playing July 14, 15, 21 and 22 at 4pm at Mingus Park.  WORDS, WORDS, WORDS provides a theatrical and historical context for the production. The impact of Shakespeare’s verse in the advancement of modern language is explored, as well as the textual theatrical devices unique to Shakespeare Era. Also given emphasis are the historical and literary origins for characters and scenarios from the productions. Feel free to bring a brownbag style lunch to this event.

WORDS, WORDS, WORDS symposium is on Saturday June 30 from 11AM to 1PM at the Coos Bay Public Library and after the final TWELFTH NIGHT PERFORMANCE at Mingus Park on July 22.
