The Houses of Astrology, Your life in 12 Scenes. 

1. A person is born at the ascendant so the first house is their identity.
2. They develop their resources in the second.
3. They interact with their environment in the third.
4. In the fourth they becomes aware of their roots and their need of others.
5. In the fifth they find their capacity to create.
6. In the Sixth they refine and perfects the skills of living.
7. In the seventh they becomes aware of others as separate.
8. The result of the seventh is in the eighth. They collide with their own repressed darkness or faith to realize that ego does not run their life, something else does. 
9. They move to the ninth in a quest for religious experience.
10. in the tenth he attempts to materialize their beliefs through constructive contribution to the world around them.
11. In the eleventh they questions the point of it all.  And then it dawns on them that they is part of a larger human family and that the human mind operates according to certain basic laws and patterns
12. In the twelfth the myth of separation fades into the face of unity with the whole of life. The person must learn of the imaginal realm. It contains the history of all life, not just humans.
