Explore salmon habitat at Deton Creek with the Department of Fish and Wildlife.  Located 20 minutes outside of Coos Bay off the Coos River, Deton Creek is an example of how habitat can be restored to encourage salmon passage.  The hike will take place on Weyerhauser property that has been restored.  Wear sturdy shoes for this 1.5 mile hike.   Pre-registration required by June 28; directions on how to get to trailhead mailed after registration.  Meet at trailhead; must provide own transportation. Rain or shine!  Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult parent or caregiver.
