The Coos Bay Library is joining forces with the Coos Bay Fire Department for a series of two special storytimes to mark Fire Prevention Month. Storytimes will be offered at Station No. 1, 450 Elrod Avenue at 10:00am Tuesday, October 18, and at the Empire Station at 189 Wall Street at 10:00am Friday, October 21.
Each storytime will feature a book, rhymes and songs. Firefighters will be on hand to talk with kids and families. The program is geared towards children 6 and under and an adult parent or caregiver. Children who attend will receive a free book.
