"Five years and counting - lessons and reflections on the evolution of the Oregon Hops and Brewing Archives"

Oregon is a magnet for creative craft brewers, heart of hops growing, convergence point for engaged consumers, and hub for brewing research. Tiah Edmunson-Morton, founder and curator of the Oregon Hops and Brewing Archives will explore the ways that OSU scientists, farmers, brewers, laborers, and communities contributed to the culture of beer in Oregon. The Oregon Hops and Brewing Archives was established in 2013 and is the first in the U.S. dedicated to collecting, preserving, and sharing materials that tell the story of regional brewing.

Tiah Edmunson-Morton has been conducting oral histories (with a focus on women in brewing/agriculture), working with breweries and other related organizations to save their records, and outreach projects with historic recipes. She has also been researching women involved in pre-Prohibition brewing in Oregon.
