Dungeons & Dragons One Shot

In the town of Drosselmeyer on the night of Wintershield

Where the veil between the realm of the Fey and this world is at its thinnest

Snow covers everything like a soft blanket, lulling the world to sleep.

Soft lighting from the oil lamps washes a warm amber hue over the town. 

Dark wooden buildings line the streets of this town with a toy shop made of brick tucked away into its corner. 

Garlands and sprigs of berries decorate the walls, silver bells being moved by the cold wind.

Gentle flurries float around, like stray cats wandering the streets

But despite all this festive apparel and look, the town is silent.

And it is in this silence that you remember why you’re here.

The Stahlbaum family sent out a message to you

As you approach the town about to make your way past the entrance arches

Adorned with dried oranges and small gingerbread cookies.

A scruffy dog walks up to you, with a small scroll rolled up in its mouth.

Nudge your leg and drops the scroll at your feet. 

With a scent of cinnamon and citrus filling the air as you pick up the scroll and walk past the arches

A glimmering wave of glittering light rushes past you, and the dog disappears.
