Judith was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where she studied art and theater.  Transplanted to Oregon many years ago, she considers herself an Oregon writer with a ‘back
east’ sensibility. Earlier in her career she wrote newspaper and periodical feature articles primarily on travel, the arts and food/restaurant criticism as she continued her lifetime in
theater. She holds graduate Certificate in Arts Management. An avid performer, she was the founder and artistic director of The Waterfront Players Repertory Company in Oregon for
thirteen years where she was the director, designer and theater and voice teacher. Judith is an award-winning published playwright, and a member of the Dramatists Guild of America.

FEARGUS, which takes place on the beautiful and mysterious Southern Oregon Coast, is McDonald’s debut novel.  It is a dark and suspenseful story about a woman, a hero dog, and a pack of five feral dogs.
