Coos Bay Public Library Foundation was established in 2001 as an independent non-profit Oregon corporation comprised of dedicated members of the community who believe that the excellence of a community is mirrored in the quality of its library. Realizing that tax dollars alone will not allow the library to reach its full potential, the Foundation’s purpose is to encourage private gifts and donations that are crucial to the library’s future development.
Every month more than 15,000 people use the Coos Bay Public Library. The basic operations such as utilities, essential staff, books, and other library materials are supported by the Coos County Library District tax monies. Because tax money alone cannot meet the rising costs and community needs, Coos Bay Public Library Foundation is asking for your help.
